The Jessie Ball duPont Fund was established in 1970 under the terms of the late Jessie Ball duPont's will. Only 323 institutions to which Mrs. duPont made a financial contribution between January 1, 1960 and December 21, 1964 are considered eligible. San Jose Episcopal Day School is proud to be on this list.

Grant awards are expected to be instrumental in change and advancement of a qualifying institution. The Fund's director, Dr. Sherry P. Magill and the Fund's Trustees, assisted by talented staff, review grant requests. The expectation is that, once awarded, a grant will encourage "promising moments...and build genuine community connnectedness to make the 21st century more humane and more caring (paraphrase, Fund publication).

San Jose is entirely grateful to the Fund for both advice and support provided since the 1960s. Most recently, San Jose Episcopal Day School was awarded nearly $80,000 in grant assistance for faculty and staff professional development and technological improvements.

Recognized for insightful decisions, the Fund Trustees have honored San Jose. We pledge a response of excellence as we boldly participate in the unfolding of our technological future.
