Meet your 2007-2008 School Board Members!


Mr. Matt Greene

Matt Greene is in his first year on the school board. He is also currently serving his 2 nd term on the church Vestry, and has been Treasurer of the church since 2000. He and his wife, Jody, have a daughter, Katherine, who is in 4 th grade at SJEDS. Matt was born and raised in Orlando , Florida , but has lived in Jacksonville since 1986. Matt has BS and MBA degrees from the University of Central Florida , and is currently the CEO of Haven Trust Bank and also President of H Financial of Florida, Inc. His hobbies include golf, running, cooking and reading.


Mrs. Jennifer Guidry

Jennifer Wolfe Guidry is serving her second year on the school board, and is in charge of the Advancement Committee for the board, which encompasses marketing and fund-raising for the school.  She is currently the co-chair of the Annual Fund Committee, and co-chair for the previous year.  She is currently working with the Marketing Task Force and the Joint Fund-Raising Policy Committee to continue work on how to enhance our school.  Jennifer is the mother of Camille and Matthew Guidry, both students at the school, and is married to Jack Guidry.  She owns a business designing corporate training programs called LEARN INC.  Jennifer hopes to support the school not only through the Advancement Committee, securing the financial and academic future of the school and our students, but also wishes to find ways that the school can become more "green," helping the children to become more environmentally responsible through education and sound conservation practices at the school.  She is proud of the fact that the school no longer uses cypress mulch on the playgrounds, which helps preserve Florida 's endangered cypress wetlands.


Mr. Vic Henderson

Vic Henderson is on his second year of the school board and has been treasurer since becoming a board member. Vic and his wife Denise have two boys, Alex and Eric, in sixth and fifth grade. The boys have been in the school since Pre-K and Kindergarten. Vic and Denise started their own disaster restoration business in 2000. Prior to this, Vic was Senior Vice-President of Technology for a major mortgage company. Vic also spent twenty years at Barnett Banks, Inc. working in the various areas of EDP Auditing, Financial Systems, Technology and Mergers and Acquisitions. Vic earned his Bachelors degree in Accounting and Masters degree in Business Administration. Vic and his family enjoy boating, family vacations, and the various sports in which the boys are involved in.


Mrs. Laura McCloskey

Laura McCloskey has been a school board member since the 2004-2005 school year. She and her husband, Robbie, have 2 children at SJEDS - Cameron, in 2 nd grade, and Erin , in Kindergarten. She is an active member of SJEC, and enjoys teaching a children's Sunday School class monthly. Laura grew up in Daytona Beach , Florida , and after studying Communications and Journalism, earned her Bachelor's degree from Florida State University . She is employed by Paul Davis Restoration, Inc, as an Accountant and Human Resource Director. Laura enjoys listening to music, spending time with her family and cheering her children on in their sports activities.


Mrs. Shannon Nunley

This is Shannon 's second year on the school board.  She is serving as the Board's Vice President.  Shannon has a degree in Education and previously taught at SJEDS.  She is married and stays home with her two daughters.  A life-long member of the parish, Shannon is a member of the Stewardship committee, chalice bearer, lector, altar guild, and is in charge of the church nursery.  She has started a newsletter for the youth titled, “Student Stewards.”  Shannon enjoys scrapbooking and reading.


Mr. Buck Pittman

Buck Pittman , in his second year as a trustee, is a member of the church (having joined in 1997) and a school parent to Heather (5 th grade) and Lily (2 nd grade), and also to Will (age 5). His wife, Laura Jane, directs the children's Angel choir and sings with the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus. As a cradle Episcopalian and a Sewanee graduate majoring in religion, Buck is intimately familiar with the Episcopal tradition and its day school approach. As a youth, he attended an Episcopal day school similar to San Jose for several years and has fond memories of that experience. Buck earned a Masters degree from Georgia in Landscape Architecture before moving to Jacksonville in 1994 with Laura Jane. His family has lived in Lakewood for over 10 years, committed to staying near the church and school, the "axis mundi" of their life. He is a registered landscape architect and land planner and works for England-Thims, and Miller.


Mrs. Auriel Rundle

This is Auriel's first year on the school board. She is a member of SJEC and is an usher, greeter and extra choir member. Since coming from England she has been Head of three Episcopal Schools ranging from PK - College Prep Boarding. During her time as Head of St Marks in Ortega (76-81 ) she married. Her 42 year career has included actively teaching Kindergarten through college freshmen, extended day programs, tutoring, mentoring, administrating, evaluating et al., but teaching elementary/middle grades is her true love. She and her husband, Stan, give time supporting the Fine Arts by ushering at the Symphony, Theatre Jax, FCCJ and UNF. She enjoys swimming, pilates and working in her yard.  


Mr. Chris Freyer

Chris and his family are fully involved at San Jose Episcopal. Chris has served the church in many capacities. He was the Acolyte Director for several years; he coordinated the Fall Festival twice; he served a full term on the Vestry; he built and maintained San Jose 's website for many years; and he attended the first Church Growth seminar in New York City with several other parishioners. He is currently a member of the Stewardship Committee, and is a Lector and a Chalice Bearer.

Chris' wife, Anita, teaches 6th grade at SJEDS, and their three children all attend school: Danielle is in 6th grade, Nick is in 4th, and Nathan is in Kindergarten.

Chris has been in the Jacksonville IT community since 1993. His work history includes: Humana Healthcare, Barnett Bank (including its mergers with NationsBank and BankAmerica), Homeside Lending, and Convergys Employee Care. His current responsibilities include: designing software, managing teams, and providing thought leadership to upper management.


Mrs. Jenny Csikai

This is Jenny's first year on the school board. She and her husband, David, have 2 children at SJEDS - Nicholas, in 2nd grade, and Anna, in 1st grade. Additionally, she has a 2 year-old named Elizabeth .

She and her family attend SJEC. Jenny grew up in Waycross , Georgia and received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University . She is on staff at Shands Jacksonville and received her Master's degree from the University of North Florida . She enjoys running, watching the Jaguars, spending time with her family and supporting her children in their various activities.


Mrs. Susannah Sands

Susannah is serving her first term on the school board. Originally from Virginia , she moved to Jacksonville with her husband Keith 29 years ago; they have twin sons, Jack and Marshall. A graduate of Longwood University , Farmville , Virginia , she currently teaches middle school language arts, and tutors children with reading disabilities. Other careers include being a paralegal, banker, and chef. She transferred to San Jose Episcopal almost two years ago and includes in her ministries, altar and flower guilds, lay reading, lay Eucharist minister, and Stewardship and Outreach committees.
