We heard that Panda's mostly eat Bamboo, but our guide said, that they would also eat meat. Since they move so slowly though they have a hard time catching any prey.
All the names that everyone is coming up with are great. It is going to be tough to pick one.

Dear Jose,

We are so excited to meet your new friend. Our class voted and we think that the panda's name should be the Chinese word for chopsticks.

Love,
Mrs. Balek's class

First grade knew Jose would make another friend, and we are so happy he will be joining us at San Jose. We decided we would vote on a name tomorrow. We'll pick the top name from each class and vote on our #1 name for Jose's friend. We hope the new panda will be able to visit our classroom when he comes to San Jose!

Mrs. Menger's class thinks Pamboo is a good name for Jose's friend.

Do they eat anything else besides bamboo? Can they swim?
