Silvia and Isabelle, we are thrilled that you are safe and sound and that Jose is doing so well. How clever of Jose to meet a friend right away. The children and I talked about you at “Fruits”, and Audrey and Lydia stood up and reported on life at home without you, Isabelle. They were all smiles and doing very well. I saw Earl yesterday and he said you and Silvia might have had an extra seat to share on that nearly sixteen hour jaunt. Silvia, you have left us in perfect shape and Chris is holding our hands as we blog “internationally”. Love and prayers for a continuned happy journey.

Ni Hao! You must be very sleepy after such a long trip. We were excited to see that you met a new friend from Vermont and we are interested to see if you meet any more friends on your China adventure. By the way…did your new friend from Vermont have a name? We cannot wait for you to show us photos of your trip, especially the Great Wall of China. Xiexie Zai Jian!

We were wondering if Jose’s friend from Vermont was on the plane to China too? If not we hope he meets even more friends(teddy bears) when he gets to China.Maybe one of his new friends in china will be a Panda bear? Jose looks pretty tired so we hope you all get lots of sleep so we can hear all about the week end when we return to school on Monday! Enjoy Hong Kong!

Ni Hao! All of first grade joined together in one room as we read the postings today. We were thrilled to see Jose resting at the hotel as he snuggled with the quilt we made just for him. We all wish we could have flown over the North Pole with you so we could have looked for Santa Claus. Will you be traveling over the North Pole again on your return trip?
We have an answer to your question about the steering wheel and we hope we are the first to respond. We think it is because of two reasons:
    1. Chinese people do things opposite of the way we do things. When they read, they read from right to left. That might explain why they have the steering wheel on the other side of the car.
    2. We also think the steering wheel is on the right side in China because the drivers need to see the lines in the middle of the street just as American drivers do.
We have a few questions for you.
    1. Can you take a picture of a Chinese classroom and post it on the web so we can see how it is different from ours?
    2. How many different places will you be visiting in China?
We can’t wait to talk to you again on Monday! Have an adventurous weekend!

Has Jose had any Chinese cuisine yet? How about Mrs. Tolisano and Ms. St.Cyr? If so, what did you all eat?

Mrs. Davidson’s class is very thankful you have arrived safely. We think Jose looks very comfortable in his bed. We loved reading about you flying over the NOrth Pole. Today we saw a THE POLAR EXPRESS movie about the NOrth Pole. We wish you haad been to get a picture of Santa, but he was probably asleep. We cannot wait to hear more about your trip. We will blog with the other second grade classes on Monday. We have alot of questions. We miss you!
    Love, Mrs. Davidson’s class
