Did you know that in China they use the 24 hour time or military time system?

So if it is 9 pm at night, you will see and hear 21:00. If it is 2 pm in China they would say 14:00.

In China we have been seeing the dates written “backwards”.

Today is 12.7.06. In China, today’s date is written 2006-12-7.

   Mrs. Encarnacion’s class:
   The Chinese used to write from right to left vertically AND ALSO from right to left horizontally.
   Nowadays the Chinese people write left to right horizontally, just like we do.

   We have not heard any news about water on Mars, except through yahoo. We don not have time to watch television and cannot read the Chinese newspaper, so we are pretty limited in getting Chinese news.
