Arrived in Beijing
December 9th, 2006 by stolisano
We flew from Xi’An to Beijing, the Capital of the People’s Republic of China (585 miles). It was a pretty clear day and our airplane from Air China flew pretty low, so we were able to see a lot on the ground: mountains with snow, villages, and rivers.
Since arriving in Beijing late in the afternoon, we have successfully connected to our photo service again and were able to upload the latest photos. Unfortunately we are still unable to upload any videos or audio files so far. We will keep working at it. The weather in Beijing is similar to the one in Jacksonville the last few days, around 39 Degrees Fahrenheit. Clear skies.
For dinner we “sacrificed” ourselves and went to eat at McDonald. The food tasted just like in the United States. Once exception… For dessert they offered “Green Bean Pie”. It is similar than the cherry pie, except that they are filled with green beans.
