The pictures were taken at the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace.

					<description>We think that what they have in common is the number nine.  There are nine statues, nine steps, nine segments on the door, etc.  Since nine is a lucky number which means "longlasting", and these look like old structures, it makes sense to us.  That's our guess.</description>
