Jose in Abu Simbel
October 2nd, 2007 by stolisano
Dear Mrs. Menger and Mrs. Tolisano
I have boarded a Nile Cruise Ship with Omar and his family. I am sending you some pictures we took at Abu Simbel. We even met some girls from Spain. They took a picture with us. We had a great time. Enjoy the photos and hope to see you soon.
Love Jose

Our class has loved seeing Jose all dressed up in his Egyptian clothes. We are very curious about Jose. What kinds of food does Jose eat in Egypt? Do you think Jose sleeps outside or in a bed? Does Jose play games with Omar? Is he really hot in Egypt? How does Jose bathe? Also, we were wondering if you have seen any mummies or Egyptian writing? One student asked if you’ve seen a real, live Pharaoh? We are hopeful that you’ll catch up with Jose soon.

Jose told us that he is enjoying regular Egyptian food while he is with Omar’s family. Check the earlier posts for typical food from Egypt. Jose sleeps in a bed, like most Egyptians. He is staying at different hotels with Omar and makes sure he showers once or twice a day to get rid of all the sand in his fur. Jose and Omar mostly play soccer together, since that is the favorite sport here in Egypt.
We have seen mummies at the Egyptian museum in Cairo and we see Egyptian writing every day, since that is the way that EVERYONE writes here. We have also seen ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic writing in all the temples we have visited. Look out for some photos of those writings soon.

We’re starting to worry a little about Jose, now!
How are you ever going to catch up with him. Are you planning on adopting Omar and bringing him back to the U.S.A.?
We have faith that we will catch up with Jose at one point or another. We are not planning adopting Omar, since he has his own family and we imagine that they would be really sad of loosing him.
Don’t worry about Jose, he is having the time of his life with Omar.
