Lori was a hoot in the video trying to bargain. Kathy Pratt and I want to take her to New York. I know you are having a wonderful time and the pashimis (sp?) you bought were beautiful. See you soon and take care of yourselves.

I have watched that video of Lori three times! It is a scream! I'll bet the vendors, especially that little boy, steered clear of you,Lori! I know you are having the greatest time together. Silvia, you are the ultimate tourist...what a great experience for both of you! I wish that I was with ya'll! The pictures are wonderful! See you very soon!

Mrs. Freyer,

yes, Mrs Menger was VERY brave. You see her in the video after she has been hassled for a long time. It is incredible, when one can't look in peace and many people are touching, tugging, yelling and demanding. Mrs. Menger was still learning not to make eye contact with the vendors. My dark sunglasses helped me walk through without attracting attention too much.

Mrs. Freyer thinks Mrs. Menger was very brave running the market gauntlet. Her Birmingham accent seemed to work well in atracting the young merchants. They must have known Mrs. Menger was a 6th grade teacher. Are one of those necklaces for Mrs. Freyer?
