The Extended Day Program at San Jose Episcopal Day School (SJEDS) provides a very special place for your SJEDS student to go after dismissal to enjoy an array of enriching, relaxing, and fun activities.
Those hours that follow class dismissal are a time for children to enjoy an afternoon snack, visit with friends, and participate in a variety of age-appropriate enrichment activities. Some of these activities include:
- computer
- games
- art
- music
- puzzles
- books
- block and lego building
- Spanish lessons and songs
Each age is provided with an opportunity to play outside
with peers in a structured and fun environment.
Each day a study hall is provided for students in first through sixth grades. This time allows students to do homework and participate in games designed to strengthen skills.
The staff of the Extended Day Program understand and support the philosophy that children need time to work but they also need time to play. Our Extended Day Program staff provide both in a caring environment.
Every child at SJEDS is special, but our extended day children hold special places in the hearts of our staff. |
